Today we moved trees. Our good friends Bello and Vanni are moving from their house and their landlord said that any trees not moved will be cut down so he offered them to us. Digging up trees and moving them is a bitch. But at least we saved some trees.

That's Bello and Mini Lee hard at work.

That's Shakir, Bello's third, and a pick up full of trees. He was little help with digging up trees but is excellent at fetching beers from the Seven Eleven.

One of the trees we had to put straight in the ground at the new place. That's Cobus and Bello and me.

It's a phoenix tree. It is a bit bare at this point as we had to trim it severely before the move but will come back quickly I hope.

  1. Well, saving trees is a fine thing. Nice work, boys. Tell Bello that I still have the Buddha necklace he gave me on my departure and that I wear it every day. It makes me think of Taiwan and all the people I know and love there.

  2. Hey Doug. Been meaning to write to you about the fate of your trees. The lot you sold when you left? Will fill you in in a proper letter but they will ALL be planted at our new house.
